Nova Scotia Premier
August 3, 1860- Nova Scotians elected premier Joseph Howe after compelling speeches against confederation. He stated that if a confederation with other BNA countries occurred, it would be un-beneficial for the colony interest and the interests of BNA against Nova Scotia's did not match.
Great Coalition
June 22, 1864- In the Province of Canada, it was made of Canada West and Canada East which makes up some of today's Ontario and Quebec. The Leaders of these two regions in the Province were rivals until they formed the Great Coalition to try to achieve Confederation of BNA.

Charlottetown Conference
September 1, 1864- Delegates from the Maritime Provinces and colonies and the Province of Canada attends the Charlottetown Conference. John. A Macdonald from Canada West tries to convince the Maritime premiers to join Canadian Confederation.
Québec City Conference
Delegates from across BNA attended the Québec City Conference. They made the Québec Resolutions which were the frames and the start of the Canada Constitution and the process of Confederation.
London Conferences
Delegates from the Maritime Provinces, The Province of Canada and New Caledonia/ British Colombia meet with the British Government to discuss the confederation. The make the British North America Act, Select the name of the new country, "Dominion of Canada".
BNA Act in effect
On June 1, 1867, The BNA Act came into effect and the Dominion of Canada was created. That is why every year, Canada Day is on June 1st to celebrate Canadian Confederation.
